IKORODU WEST SWEARS-IN NEW CABINET, CHARGE ON SERVICE EXCELLENCE 

The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju (SKO) on Monday, April 10th, 2022 swore in the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), seven Supervisors and two Special Advisers into the Local Council Development cabinet. 

The Cabinet members was sworn in at the Council multipurpose hall after due screening and confirmation by the legislative arm of the council. 

Addressing the Supervisors, Hon. Sulaimon congratulated them for emerging victorious after the rigorous screening exercise by the Legislative Arm. He assured them that he is ready to work with them accordingly to attain greater heights in the local government. He charged them on competence and excellence service as these two deliverables remains the watchword of his administration. He further urge them in his speech to live up to expectations in their responsibilities noting that their appointment is a call to service. 

SKO while reiterating his commitment to serve the good people of Ikorodu West stated that he is poised to move the council to greater heights will support members of the Cabinet to achieve their departmental objective. 

In his response on behalf of his colleagues the newly sworn in SLG showered encomiums on the Executive Chairman and declaring their loyalty to work with him in achieving the LCDA’s developmental plans., Meanwhile Pa Saka who spoke on behalf of the Apex Leadership commended the Council Boss on his activities so far and advise the new cabinet members to add value to the ongoing work as Ikorodu West needs urgent development.

Amongst those present were two of the former Executive Chairmen, Hon Jide Banjoko (JBB), Hon (Princess) Olajumoke Jimbo-Ademehin, Engr. Kara, Elder Saka, former LGA Party Chairman, Mr Femi Agbi amongst others.

Push News 243 International reports that the Cabinet members whose functions are to serve as political heads of their various departments, as L.G Exco members, has a responsibility to give directives to professional heads of departments on general issues amongst other duties that will be assigned to their portfolios by the chairman.

Mr Adelani Okunade  – Supervisor for Youth and Sports

Ms Rasheedat Dayo Awodigan – Supervisor for Civic

Ms Salau Rashidat Jibike – Supervisor for Women and Poverty Alleviation

Mr Muyideen Yusuf – Supervisor for Agriculture

Hon Adewale Salisu – Supervisor for Environment

Hon Femi Dairo – Supervisor for Budget and National Planning

Ms Morenike Oshikoya  – Supervisor for Health

Mr Shoderu Yomi – Supervisor for education
