Ahead of the conduct of the general elections in February 2023, the All Progressive Congress (APC) Candidates are taking their campaigns to key regional ethnic groups in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency as part of moves to secure their support.

While the candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), are intensifying the lobbying, their key rival of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), are exploring other options.

The Stakeholders Forum of Abule Ado, Soba and Oteyi Odan Communities in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency in Lagos State, during a stakeholders meeting declared their support for the Presidential aspirations of the APC Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the re-election of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other APC candidates in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency saying their decision was predicated on the fact that aside the governor fulfilling all his campaign promises, the need to ensure the consolidation of the APC progressive agenda cannot be over-emphasized across board.

The stakeholders, who commended efforts of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, said they had continued to convince their people that anything outside of the APC would amount to a waste of vote.

This is as Sanwo-Olu, has urged residents of the state to continuously ensure that Lagos remained politically stable for continuous peace, which the state currently enjoys as the most peaceful state in Nigeria.

Leaders of Non Indigenes in Abule Ado made the pledge when the APC Stakeholders and Candidates met with leaders of the Indigenes and Non- Indigenes Stakeholders Forum in Amuwo Odofin.

A leader of the Soba community commended Gov. Sanwo-Olu for his support for the Non Indigenes in Lagos State and assured the APC leaders and candidates that all none indigenes would support the second term bid of Sanwo-Olu because he has fulfilled all the campaign promises he made in 2019 to the Igbo and other tribes in Lagos State.

Another stakeholder from Soba Community said : “I want to commend Governor Sanwo-Olu for his support for our people in Lagos State. So, we must support him and the APC candidates. If we have a governor of APC in Lagos and the same party at the Federal level, it will be in the interest of everyone in Lagos.

A Community leader from Oteyi Odan Communities says, “Our PVCs will give us the voting strength for APC. We will support Sanwo-Olu’s second term in Lagos, because Sanwo-Olu is extraordinary. In 2023 elections, we will support Sanwo-Olu for second term and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for president.”

On his part, a statesman, who is also a former CDA Chairman in Abule Ado described Sanwo-Olu as the ‘best among equals’ said all people would work for the victory of Asiwaju Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu in the next elections, noting that anything outside APC is wasted votes.

“We are doing everything possible to convince our people in Abule Ado , Soba and Oteyi that anything outside the APC is a waste of votes in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency. And because of the critical elections we are facing, we have advised all the socio-political groups to join forces with us to achieve victory. Sanwo-Olu’s second term is a done deal,” he said

The Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin LGA, Engr. Valentine Buraimoh, in his address, thanked the Abule Ado Stakeholders Forum leadership for their support and decision to vote in all APC candidates.

“Our campaign has a full directorate in charge of contact and mobilisation for each wards and polling units in Amuwo Odofin, We are reaching out to critical stakeholders across all the spectrum of the society, not just socio-cultural organisations or political groups and that’s why we have also come to you, you have done it before and I know you will do it again because we owe iur communities in highesteem”

“Our candidate, Asiwaju and his running mate, continue to have direct engagements with leaders and stakeholders across the country one on one and in groups. They have been moving round to meet influential stakeholders in the Country and leaders of thought in business and faith to secure their support. As APC stakeholders in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, our Candidates will continue such engagements with our communities in Amuwo Odofin till the day of election .

House of Representative Candidate for Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency in the forthcoming general elections, Prince Lanre Sanusi (PLS) in his own submission states that

“There is no part of Lagos State that one form of development is not happening. APC led government will continue to push development in every nook and cranny of the state, including Amuwo Odofin. This is the most peaceful state in the country. We spent so much on security to keep all of us saved on a daily basis. So, if people now come and want to divide us, we shouldn’t let that happen.”

“We all have a responsibility to continue to ensure that Lagos continues to remain politically stable for all of us so that we can continue to enjoy the economic progress and peace that we are all experiencing. All the things we are doing are natural for us to do, because God has created us to make life better for our fellow human beings.

” I intend to consolidate on the ongoing developmental plans to revamp Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency through deliberate legislative actions at the Green Chamber ” . PLS said.

The rep. candidate further stated that he will sustain a regular feedback session with the Soba and Abule Ado Communities from his very first year at the green chambers.
