AMUWO ODOFIN / ORIADE MERIT AWARDS WILL BE THE MODEL FOR AWARD ORGANISERS IN AMUWO ODOFIN COMMUNITY

 Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency over the years has had its own fair share of the good, the bad and the ugly awards, with tongues wagging if community awards are yet so valuable in today’s society.

According to the CELCE-AFRICA boss, “Great achievements are accompanied by great results. Prizes/Plaques are given to the top achievers in fields ranging from sports to politics to science to writing etc. Though they take different forms, all of these prizes are meant to highlight and celebrate those individuals who’ve ascended to the top of their game”.
“Whatever prestige attached to our awards, these prizes are often accompanied by striking custom awards Plaques with great designs”.

In an interactive session with Push News 24 International, the Visioneer of the Amuwo Odofin/Oraide  Merit Awards, Amb. Kingsley Enwelim Nwanze while assessing the relevance of Community Based Awards in Nigeria stated emphatically that the Amuwo Odofin/Oraide Merit Awards is unique and a bold statement which will shape and provide the needed standards for award organizers in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency.

Amb. Nwanze also stated that the community award is self sponsored by Center for Leadership and Creative Entrepreneurs in Africa, a registered NGO, hence, every awardee gets equal recognition and there is no external influence rather nominees will have to prove their worthiness before a screening panel.

“Amuwo Odofin/Oraide Merit Awards was developed to honor persons who are making significant contributions to their community through their time, actions, talents and dedication”. Nwanze added.

Push News 24 International noted that what makes this award unique is that the awardees who are to be selected should serve as a role model for compassion, and service and be striving to make the world a better place. He/ she should have been seen to have a passion for helping others in his/her community.

Nwanze said so much has been put to the planning of this maiden edition which is billed for 2022.

On the acceptability of the awards he has this to say ” In all corners of Amuwo Odofin community, people are making a difference. Residents and stakeholders are nominating  passionate individuals and organizations daily who have contributed significant and lasting change in the community over the past years right from the first day the calls for nominations was made”
