AMUWO’23 : SANUSI REPEATS 2019 FEAT AGAIN, DEFEATS CABINET MEMBER, EXECUTIVE CHAIRMEN, STATE EXCO MEMBER TO EMERGE APC CANDIDATE

An ally of the incumbent governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwoolu, Prince Lanre Sanusi popularly called PLS has yet again proved his grassroot popularity by winning back-to-back the 2023 election primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives by a landslide in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency.

The US trained professional tax and financial advisory expert defeated nine other aspirants by a wide margin of 36 votes, amongst whom is a two term incumbent Executive Chairman and a two term former Executive Chairman amongst others.

The Chairman of the primary election panel, announced the results and winner late friday in Amuwo Odofin LGA where the House of Representatives primary election took place.

The primary results Prince Lanre Sanusi pulling 36 votes, incubent Chairman , Oriade LCDA, Hon Ramotalai Akinola-Hassan 7 votes, former Assemble member, Hon Dipo Olorunrinu 7 votes.

A former Councillor Hon Kate Banjoko had 2 votes, while Olawale Ebietomiye had 3 votes.

Others includes a current serving Cabinet Member in Lagos State, Hon Gbenga Oyerinde who got no vote, a two term Executive Chairman and State Exco member, Hon Ayodele Adewale, Taiwo Odumuyiwa and Olu Bethel all had no votes.

In his acceptance speech, PLS saluted the leadership style of the Amuwo Odofin Apex as been very fair to all aspirants adding “ I am happy that the process was free and fair and transparent enough to ensure the best aspirants emerge”.

The Lagos State born Prince further said that he won because other aspirants underestimated his cordial relationship with the constituents and his progressive ideologies as listed in his manifestos which was presented to the people.

Push News 24 International can authoritatively report that a recent conducted polls by Push News has initially positioned PLS as the likely winner of the APC primaries based on the outcome of the polls respondent.

Push News reports that in 2019 PLS won the primaries in a landslide but was denied the party candidacy due to some power play and as a grassroot and seasoned politician, PLS did not relent in his efforts towards playing an active role in the socio-political advancement in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency .

PLS who has his doctorate degree in view was believe to have been voted by the majority delegates do to his rancour free campaign strategies and simplicity in addressing issues that concerns the constituency.

PLS was also quoted as saying after been announced as the winner that “Today signals the birth of a fresh project that will signal taking Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency to the next level.”

PLS who is also an active member of the party in the United States of America has been contributing financially to the activities of the APC in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency and this has earn him more support and accolades. An ally of the incumbent governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide SANWOOLU who he campaigned immensely for his re-election.
