NYCN: SANUSI CHARGE NEW LEADERSHIP ON UNITING ALL ARMS OF YOUTH ORGANISATION IN AMUWO DOFIN
The new leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in Amuwo Odofin LGA has been charged to unite all arms of youth organizations with the view to achieving its corporate objectives as the umbrella body for the youths in Nigeria.
Prince Lanre Sanusi (PLS) made the call-in his remarks to the media aftermath of the successful election and inauguration of the new leadership of NYCN led by Comrade Esho Adewole.
PLS said the call was necessary to galvanize support for the new leadership and to help the youth body build on the foundations already laid by the former leadership in a bid to promote peaceful coexistence, collaborations and youth participation in issues that matters to them.
The APC House of Representative Candidate expressed confidence in the ability of the new NYCN leadership to deliver on her mandate having championed the cause of Nigerian youths through the organization’s various youthful initiatives
“When it is well with the youth, it is well with the entire country as the youth are the fulcrum on which development thrives.
“To this end, we are excited that the umbrella youth organization is today headed by someone who is not only vibrant but has the capacity to mobilize youths for productive ventures as demonstrated over the time.
“Youth activities in the country for many years had been attacked by virus that threatened the foundation of youth existence, “Kidnapping, Insurgence and indeed other vices can only be successfully fought if youths are properly situated in the scheme of things.
‘I believe Comrade Esho’s personae has the requisite character and competence to provide the leadership that is needed amongst the youths in this country, and the emergence of the new leadership surely would ensure youths participation and collaborations in President Buhari’s fight against insecurity, corruption and insurgency”. PLS said.
Speaking with Push News 24 International, Sanusi assured that his focal point at the green chamber would be to harness the potentials of the Nigerian youths towards national development because he has the interest of the youths at heart.
“Let me use this opportunity to re-echo my manifesto on the youths, …one of my focal legislative points at the green chamber is to harness the potentials of the Nigerian youth towards national development using Amuwo Odofin Federal constituency youths as a pilot face.
“This, we will do by consulting wildly with the youths wherever they are, from the armlets, villages and towns regardless of tribe and culture, faith or creed.
“Ours will not be about dinning in government houses but to reach out to identify all vistas of youth potentials and harness accordingly,” Sanusi added.
