SANUSI TO AMUWO ODOFIN CDA/CDC’S : MONITOR YOUR REPRESENTATIVES, BE INVOLVED IN GOVERNANCE
All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate for Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency , Prince Lanre A. Sanus (PLS) charged members of the Community Development Association / CDC’S of Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency to serve as voluntary supervisors of their Representatives and get involved in the governance and electioneering process in Lagos State.
The APC candidate emphasised on the importance of teamwork, stating that all hands must be on deck to see that they are involved in choosing who their representative are and the quality of projects been delivered.
While speaking at a parley with the Community Development Association (CDA) and CDC’s which held at Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, Sanusi described the CDAs and CDCs as the real growth engines in the state.
The event, which could be themed: “ Communities Roles For 21st Century Development,” was organised at the instance of the APC candidate to seek the support of the Community leaders towards his journey to the Green Chambers.
According to the Awori born Prince : “Our community development; the CDAs and the CDCs are the real engines of growth. They are the owners of all our interventions in government. They are the ones that own every intervention. Everything we are building is for the community, it’s for the Local government.
“So, it is important that the Local Government takes ownership of these development initiatives. We need to ensure that once wmits an election year we participate actively in choosing our representatives , we should monitor them and ensure that they do and deliver quality service as promised.”
“You have to serve as monitors and ensure that the right proportion of things needed are used. You have the right to present your complaints to any contractor once you discover that the work is not properly done.”
PLS, as he is fondly called, charged the CDC to take ownership of what is going on in the Constituency.
While paying homage to his predecessors, he said so much is yet to be done, and he is willing and prepared for the task ahead.
I appeal for support from the community leaders to vote in all APC candidates so we can continue to enjoy the accelerated development in Lagos State.
