The President, Mr Ngozi Emechebe led his executives under the auspices of the Auto Spare Parts and Machinery Dealers Association (ASPANDA) and key community stakeholders in Abule Ado area of Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency yesterday 11th November, 2022 to meet with the All Progressives Congress (APC), House of Representatives Candidate, Prince Lanre A. Sanusi (PLS).

The consultative meeting, which was at the instance of APC candidate and was coordinated by the Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairmen of Amuwo Odofin LGA who also doubles as the Campaign Director for PLS in Amuwo Odofin LGA, Hon Idris, lasted hours and it was centered around the legislative agenda of PLS, plans to move for improve security and upgrade infrastructure around the markets and the inclusive of all Abule Ado stakeholders in governance regardless of tribe, culture , faith or creed.

Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, Sanusi said the discussion was aimed at fostering collaboration with the leadership of the traders, other critical stakeholders and to carry them along in our plans as we match to the Green Chamber in 2023. Sanusi said he was satisfied with the successful outcome of the meeting and happy about the existing cordial relationship amongst the people within the community. He further expressed his desire for better business conditions under which businesses can be conducted in the markets, improved roads and availability of relevant public facilities around markets.

As part of his legislative mandate ,PLS said his administration was prepared to change the conditions of the people of Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency by investing in bills, particularly on infrastructure that would improve the quality of lives and commercial activities in the area.

” God’s willing, as a legialator, we are taking up the responsibility to design an all-inclusive model that will improve the economic wellbeing of people around Abule Ado and the markets. We will collaborate with relevant agencies, once we put infrastructure in place, not only would businesses flourish, employment will also be created.”

“Aside lobbying to construct network of roads surrounding Abule Ado and environs, the Awori born Prince said part of the Lagos State Government’s long-term plans was also to ensure the provision of amenities, including fire stations, clinics, general hospitals and security protections that would aid commercial activities in the markets and commercial areas.”

Also speaking at the consultative meeting, Mr Ngozi, hailed PLS for deeming it fit and partnering with the market leadership to drive his regeneration programme, saying the APC candidate understood the importance of engagement in leadership. According to him, “You are one of the very first to visit us in Abule Ado to understand our challenges and get our buy-in into your legislative blueprint for Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency “

“ASPAMDA members are peace-loving people that believe in democracy and good governance. They believe that a leader of their choice will move their business forward and all their endeavours. Ngozi said.

The President of ASPANDA who was in company of his vice, Secretary and P.R.O formally went ahead to declare their support for Sanusi as the accepted candidate for Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency . Admonishing its members and the Abule Ado stakeholders to mobilise towards the victory of the APC candidate.

PLS in his reaction to his endorsement appreciated the leadership of ASPANDA and Abule Ado community for the overwhelming gestures. He said “This is exactly the approach that Gov. Sanwo-Olu is using today – consulting. The Governor has outlined a course of action through her THEMES strategy and we shall also use our knowledge of the needs our people and working in collaboration with the relevant government, to come up with a models that will work for all stakeholders. I believe the traders are ready to take this collaboration to the end and make sure they have better market conditions so when they want to pay their taxes, they will pay them happily.”
