Councillor representing Ward D, in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State and PRO, Lagos State Chief Whip Forum, has stated the reasons why the entire Amuwo Odofin Legislative House threw their weights behind the public prayer rally organised for the ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, January, 2022, at Amuwo Odofin LGA.

Asiwaju Tinubu, a Senator, former Lagos State Governor and National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), had weeks ago formally declared his intention to run for the country’s Presidency in 2023 after months of speculations.

According to Hammed who recently won the Young Achievers Award on Leadership, “This prayer initiative is laudable, commendable and it is the right step in a good direction because whatever will succeed will first of all start with God. God’s guidance, support, direction and help is crucial in this journey to Aso Rock in 2023”.

“As Councillors we threw our weights behind the programme and the programme has our full support because Asiwaju is more of a model figure not just in Nigeria but across other worlds – who will not associate with success?.”

“Let me delve a little into the main matter, which is the most discussed topic in Nigeria as at today. I want to categorically state that Asiwaju Tinubu is eminently qualified to be the next President of the largest black nation in the world, called Nigeria.”

“Asiwaju Tinubu has paid and still paying his dues since 1992/1993 (HOPE ’93) to-date”.

Speaking to Push News 24 International in an exclusive chat, the Amuwo Odofin Chief Whip said the prayer was “organised for the success of the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming general elections as well as for peace and stability in Amuwo Odofin LGA and the country at-large.”

“From all available indications, I can confirm to you that Tinubu will contest the 2023 elections. Amuwo Odofin LGA having benefited from the developmental and Socio-political policies of Lagos State while Tinubu was governor will not be left behind in mobilizing our people to support his ambition”

“ Our resolve as law makers at the grassroot is premised on the fact that we (Nigeria) needs somebody who can carry along everybody, detribalised and we believe that Tinubu is the best option for Nigeria at this time. He is not a religious fanatic and has massive networks across all the boundaries in the country”.

“Asiwaju has worked extensively for the APC and never shifted grounds on his values. He is competent to be the president of this country.

“Nigerians always go for quality, capacity, experience and we believe as grassroot lawmaker that Tinubu represents all this attributes” Hon Mohammed said.

Hammed further said Tinubu has an edge over others, saying he does not see a dark horse coming in 2023.

The well attended event which has all strata of Amuwo Odofin socio-political bigwigs in attendance has Co-NIREC Chairman, Alhaji Chief Imam Iliasu Yusuf and Venerable Femi Fabiyi led the intercessory prayer sessions accordingly to their faiths.

Also in attendance at the ABAT event are all the Honorable Councillors led by the House Leader, Hon Kiki Emmanuel, Hon Feyisope Idowu -Deputy Leader, Hon Ojomo Michael – Majority Leader , Hon Hammed Olanrewaju Mohammed, Chief whip Amuwo Odofin Legislative Arm, Hon Oshodi, Hon Fatayi Ajide and Hon Omoniyi Olulade
